Grammy’s

Last night’s Grammy’s were FANTASTIC.  Performances were great (except Frank Ocean and my heart breaks for him) and the flow of it was perfect.  I feel a lot of great artists won.

On another note:

Prince shouldn’t be presenting anything at the Grammy’s. He’s like Chuck Norris, he should just win everything.  The end.

Don’t wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great. Weak men wait for opportunities; strong men make them.

Moment to Moment

So far in this new year I’ve been learning a lot about trust and faith.  It’s been very liberating to trust God more and worry less.  He’s got my back and wants me to succeed!  The more I remember this, when little things start to worry me, the more free and happy I feel.  What an adventure I’m on and I feel so blessed to know God has a perfect path for me.

The one thing I am experiencing at this moment is to go with life.  Don’t force, pull, or stop anything…let things happen and experience everything.  I’ve stopped trying to figure out my opinions and judgments for every situation and just allow myself to feel in that moment.  *breath* God is good :)

He that would live in peace and at ease, must not speak all he knows, nor judge all he sees
Benjamin Franklin
God loves us. He’s watching us, he wants us to succeed, and we’ll know someday that he has not left one thing undone for the eternal welfare of each of us. If we only knew it, there are heavenly hosts pulling for us—friends in heaven that we can’t remember now, who yearn for our victory.
Ezra Taft Benson
Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can. He can deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, and pour out peace.
Ezra Taft Benson
The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ would take the slums out of the people, and then they would take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature.

A Father’s Words

A while ago a friend of mine’s father passed away and she posted a paragraph of what her father taught her.  It touched me so very much and they’re things we all hope to learn and live!

“The man who taught me about life, staying open minded, nobody being perfect, not being able to change anyone, loving people for who they are, inner beauty vs outer beauty, spirituality on a different level, not painting the blank canvas of a fresh relationship, trusting myself, not giving a hoot what people think about me, loving me for me, importance of family relationships, Honesty, keeping promises, music being the language of the universe, and other things that have molded and shaped who i am and want to be”
